Save a few pennies on this bargain UVC pond filter and solids handling pump for ponds up to 2,640 gallons (12,000 litres).

This great pond system offers fantastic value and was destined to be popular. The filter it includes is a professional yet affordable multi-chamber system which comes complete with an 18w UVC, while the pump provided pulls the dirty pond water (including solids up to 6mm) through its strainer cage and then pushes it to the filter. Dirty water enters the filter through the multistage hosetail past the 18w UVC, where it is then pushed through the multi-chamber system before the clean filtered water then returns to your pond.

The pump supplied works great and the filtobox 12000 keeps the water clear BUT that's not surprising as it needs to be cleaned weekly otherwise it starts leaking. Twice I have come home to a half empty pond and once only 6 inches of water left in the bottom!!! And that is only on a 1400 litre pond I wouldn't like to see how it copes with a larger one. Pond keeper were good in replying to complaints but didn't come up with any solutions ok and the drain leaked when I first got it until I made a rubber seal for it. Bad design or faulty filtobox??? I would not recommend.

Slight leak from sides on the Filterbox due to water pressure, but sorted this out with rubber strip.

Good quality, long cable with the pump. The UV cable could be a little bit longer. Replaced my old kit very easy, and it's working now okay. Fish seams to be happy ;)

Filter mesh seems same throughout, needs pondkeeper to advise range of filters which can be cleaned
