This is the perfect set for a large pond (up to 30,000 litres, 6,600 gallons). As the filter is pressurised it allows for the option of running the water from the filter to the top of a waterfall. The cleaning indicator lets you know when to clean the sponges and it is easy to clean the foams as you can redirect flow from the usual flow to backwash/clean via the handle, allowing you to backwash clean your sponges without switching off your pond pump. The pump itself handles solids up to 6mm and features a new 'ECO' motor with low running costs.

My pond is 20,000 litres so thought the PondXpert 30,000 would do the job. After all, it claims to be for a 30,000 litre pond. When I opened the box, one of the hose tails was completely squashed which is odd as nothing else was damaged which means it had to have been packed damaged. I've seen similar comments regarding PondXpert products. The instructions for the back wash are incorrect and I checked it several times to be sure I was being completely dense! On the positive side set up was easy as is the cleaning of the filter. Unfortunately the pond is still very dark and murky. I've always bought Oase prior to this purchase and sadly this filter and pump set does not compare. A real shame as I had high expectations based on some of the reviews. Disappointed.
