The Aquaforce from Hozelock has always been a bestselling pump for us.

It replaced the popular Hozelock Titan when it was introduced a few years ago and has since built on the strong heritage of that pump.

The Hozelock Aquaforce 1000 pump has been designed with small ponds in mind (up to 2,000 litres/440 gallons).

It is a highly reliable pump backed by a three year manufacturers warranty.

Also included with the pump is a Wildlife Protection System - a quick flick of the strainer cage reduces the slot sizes preventing any tadpoles or tiny fish spawn getting drawn into the impeller.

Most of the competing solids-handling pumps with this kind of low flow-rate are small in dimension - this pump comes with the same size strainer as the larger pumps in the range.

Very pleased with this, the pump works well and it is definitely helping keep my pond clean. The water was starting to turn a bit green when I got this, but since then the water clarity has improved significantly. The extra cage with the smaller holes compared to the normal case, designed to keep pond life safe, is the one part I am not pleased with. Understandably this cage with smaller holes gets clogged up very quickly, which is to be expected, but to my dismay when I tried to clean this one day I found a dead baby newt stuck in one of the holes and was impossible to remove without cutting it out. It looked way too big to fit in the hole but had somehow managed to get stuck in there. I have since stopped using it, and not only does this keep the cage in much cleaner condition but I also haven't had anything stuck in it since.

Have had one for along time. Cut through cable whilst cleaning debis on floor of pond - safer to replace. Instructions to fit fine.

Pump works very well and hose was a welcome bonus but it would have been better if the clips were suitable for a corrugated hose
