The only native aquatic iris, it can be vigorous in boggy soil. It is the original of the famous Royal French emblem, Fleur-de-lys. As with all iris the tubers are harmful if eaten.

These plants help to remove excess nutrients and provide aquatic inhabitants with protective cover and spawning grounds, as well as providing an attractive finish to any pond.

Repotting or planting
This size of plant does not require repotting as it is a more established plant which can be placed up to the maximum recommended depth. There is no need to remove the mesh basket.

Care Instructions
After foliage has died back in Autumn cut back to just above the water surface. If trimming left until spring take care not to damage emerging shoots.
