Easy Maintenance: Simply lift the lid and pull out the foams by the handles. The foams can then be squeezed clean.

Sludge Outlet: This gravity filter comes complete with an integrated sludge outlet on each chamber, which can be used to remove sludge from the base of the filter or do a back flush!

High Quality Filtration: The MultiChamber systems include both coarse and fine foam filtration along with a layer of Japanese matting at the bottom of each chamber.

Built-in Thermometer: A handy, replaceable thermometer is attached to the lid, giving you an accurate reading of the pond’s temperature.

I have to deduct a star for the fact that the fittings are rather strange in that they have only partial threads. this caused a lot of aggravation in getting them seated correctly as they kept trying to cross-thread. It was also difficult to get a water tight seal and it took a great deal of strength to tighten them bearing in mind my previous comment. The filter has been running for 2 days now and I see evidence of particles passing through the filter and back into the pond, if there were a finer filter at the end of the run I am sure this would stop but then the filter would probably overflow. I have already had to install an overflow and cut the delivery rate of my pump by a half.
